Welcome to 1st Beechworth Scouts for term 2 of 2011,

and an especially big WELCOME to all of our new members and families!

We are looking forward to another jam-packed term of fun and adventures..

The weekend of the 14/15 May we particpated in the Jamboree of The Trail (JOTT) along with Scouts from all over the world who also hiked on this day - wherever they were!

The 1st Beechworth Joeys, Cubs and Scouts along with the Yackandandah Cubs all set off from various locations to end up at the same campsite in Wooragee around the same time in the afternoon.

We had Parade around the flagpoles the Scouts erected earlier in the day and activities in the fields all afternoon, culminating in a barbeque dinner and songs around the campfire before those who had set up tents turned in for the night.

Those who camped woke up to a very frosty morning however the sun did come out and a great weekend was had by all!

Term 1 finished off with great representation in the parade at the Golden Horseshoes Festival -the Scouts created a fantastic vehicle to ride in!

The Anzac march was just a couple of days later and some of our Joeys, Cubs and Scouts did a great job marching and showing such great respect during the ceremony in the Town Hall Gardens. Well done to all who were involved!
